Volunteering and helping others

Project ImpACT purpose is to get the younger generation involved in volunteering to help in the Jewish community.

Amongst the different activities that took place before lockdown were visits to care homes and also to the Norwood Foundation unit in Hendon. During these visits, we got to know the residents and did different activities that included discussions about the residents' lives as well as making fruit baskets for Succot. During the lockdown we had Zoom presentations, which included a discussion on helping people who were bipolar, making art that was sent to children's wards in hospitals and helping to make cupcakes and brownies that were sent into hospitals for the doctors, nurses and hospital staff. Project ImpACT has been really enjoyable over the last year, has been well organised and I look forward to being part of the programme again when it resumes.
